A substantial two-storey side and single-storey rear extension project in Tolworth, South West London, significantly increasing the size of the existing property and creating a larger, more open-plan family home.
The project involved extensive structural works, including steelwork and the construction of a raft foundation beneath the rear extension. A sewer approximately 3.5 metres below the proposed extension could not be diverted, requiring the foundation design to spread the structural load safely around the existing drainage infrastructure.
YSI delivered the project from groundworks through to completion, including the extensions, structural alterations, roofing and EPDM flat roof, rendering, new boiler and associated plumbing, electrical works, kitchen installation, carpentry and joinery, internal and external decorating, and associated external works including the side patio.
The clients later invited YSI back to complete an additional en-suite bathroom several years after the original project was finished.
